AP Spanish Lit

The purpose of this course is to provide students who are native speakers of languages other than English instruction enabling students to accelerate the development of reading and writing skills and to strengthen these skills to they are able to successfully read, write and comprehend grade level text independently.  Instruction emphasizes reading comprehension and vocabulary through the use of a variety of literary and informational texts encompassing a bread range of text structures, genres and levels of complexity.  Texts used for instruction focus on a wide range of topics, including content-area information, in order to support students in meeting the knowledge demands of increasingly complex text.

•Strengthen the effectiveness of your writing through close reading and frequent practice at applying rhetorical strategies, analyzing information from source texts, and writing arguments •Become a critical reader of predominantly nonfiction works, including expository, argumentative, analytical, and personal texts from various authors and time periods

Chemistry is a branch of science that studies the composition, properties, and change of matter. This course is an introductory course that only scratches the surface of Chemistry and prepares students for college level Chemistry courses. This course is meant to lay a foundation of understanding for each student to build opon.
