This course is the study of government in the United States on the local, state, and national level. We will study the American political and legal systems in-depth, beginning with an examination of the U.S. Constitution and the intentions of our Founding Fathers. Analyze the pivotal roles of legislative bodies, executive officials and the courts in governmental decision-making and the influence of political parties, public opinion, interest groups and foreign governments.
